Apprenticeship in Customer Service Level 2

An Apprenticeship in Customer Service will give you the practical skills needed to deliver excellent customer service across a range of sectors from Government to Retail to Telecommunications


As an apprentice, you will work on front line delivery of the business dealing directly with their customers:


  • Offering advice and answering questions
  • Developing product knowledge
  • Dealing with complaints and queries
  • Giving a positive customer experience
  • Developing clear, effective communication skills


Good customer service skills are the key to the success of any business, and will serve you well in virtually any industry.


Progression Routes

Once you’ve completed your Apprenticeship, you have a lot of opportunities available to you:


  • Continue working with your employer (if there they have suitable vacancies)
  • Progress you career with a new employer
  • Start a Level 3 Apprenticeship 
  • Move on to higher education or training

A significant amount of the job training is undertaken in the workplace. This is a demanding but interesting course which should be achieved in 12 - 15 months whilst gaining valuable workplace experience.

Level 2 Customer Service course work includes:

Interpersonal skills


Influencing skills

Personal organisation

Dealing with customer conflict and challenge

Functional Skills Level 2 Maths, English and ICT if required.

  1. You must be aged 16 – 24 years old
  2. You must have lived in the UK for the past 3 years (3 year continuous residence)
  3. You must have a UK Birth Certificate, Passport or Home Office Papers showing your right to remain in the UK.
  4. You must have a National Insurance number
  5. You will ideally have Entry 3 or Level 1 qualifications in Maths and English
  6. You must have some relevant work experience in an customer service environment
