Disciplinary Procedure
Disciplinary Procedure
Good discipline is essential for effective training and you are expected to act in a reasonable and disciplined manner at all times. Persistent or serious misconduct will lead to disciplinary action being taken.
The standard procedures are as follows:
1. The first step, if necessary will be a recorded verbal warning (given for a minor and isolated incident)
2. Then a written warning/three week letter will be given (for repeated minor offences or a more serious incident)
3. A meeting with the Learner Support will be given to try to solve the problem
4. If misconduct still persists, then you will be given a Final Written Warning (for continued minor offences or a more serious incident)
5. Dismissal (for continued minor offences or a more serious incident) In the case of gross misconduct (e.g. acts of violence, theft, harassment, carrying an offensive weapon, being under the influence of drink or illegal drugs, damage to property etc.) learners will be instantly terminated from the programme
Note· If you are on a work placement then the placement’s disciplinary procedure will apply to you as well as First Rung’s
