Empowering Parents - Programme Overview
Cost: No Charge. This project is funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation and Barnet Council.
Duration: 10 weeks (1 day per week, 30 guided learning hours).
Delivery Units:
1. Support parent’s needs, rights and responsibilities
2. Support children’s needs and rights
3. Contribute to effective communication between parents and children
4. Contribute to effective management of behaviour
5. Support the family’s health
6. Contribute to opportunities for children’s learning.
Includes:
a. Identification of individual needs of parents and children
b. Rights and responsibilities of parents (social, health, education, legal and financial)
c. Current legislation
d. Local support and benefits available
e. Family structures and cultural, religious and social variations
f. Routines with your child
g. Health and Safety
