An essential programme for young parents or prospective parents to guide them through the pathway of positive and empowering parenting. This programme is Funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation.
During childhood, the early years are the most important as these mould the child into whom they will grow up to be. First Rung will take this opportunity to enable young parents to realise this and embrace their child’s learning; giving the essential and appropriate guidance through the first steps in life.
It aims to reduce the number of young vulnerable disengaged learners in the future.
A positive start to education will give a young child the essential skills to take through their school years and a parent is one to do this.
Giving young parents and prospective parents the tools to engage positively with their child and empower them to provide a stimulating environment.
