Enrichment Activities

What is Enrichment?

Enrichment activities expand on learning in ways that differ from the methods used during your training sessions. They often are interactive and project-focused and enhance your education by bringing new ideas to light or by using old concepts in new ways.

These activities are fun, but they also broaden your knowledge. They allow you to apply the knowledge and skills you gain in the classroom to real-life experiences.

Whilst you are with us at First Rung you will get the opportunity to participate in a wide selection of enrichment activities. Alongside your main programme, these activities give you the chance to take up a new interest, make new friends and most importantly, have a great time whilst training with us.

Everything we put on is free and you can join at any time during the year. Enrichment activities are both held within the classroom and outside. Every six weeks there are new and innovative enrichment activity programmes introduced for you to experience and explore. These will enhance your time at First Rung as well as preparing you for future success. Colleges and employers actively seek learners who have participated in a wide range of activities including both academic and extra curricular so participation is particularly important for your CV and personal development.

You can also enjoy our Learners' lounge providing you with a healthy breakfast and lunch free-of-charge or just relax and watch TV with our built-n Playstation.
