First Rung is devoted to developing new programmes and expanding existing programmes in response to both Learners’ needs and the market place. We are also adapting programmes and services to enhance workplace learning.. We aim to ensure there is full support for all learning activities, access to appropriate classroom learning resources and communications technologies to increase timely access to learning opportunities.
A comprehensive learner support strategy has been developed with the recruitment, retention and progression of learners enhanced.
Our comprehensive Quality Improvement Plan has been further developed to ensure that expectations for programmes and purposes for services are fully met.Benchmarks have been developed for new programmes and service and performance targets have been set. These undertakings are directed to ensure learners achieve high academic performance and skill competency standards.
