SALARY:                 £36,000 -  38,000pa

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic local charity in North London, to utilise a wide range of commercial skills and to develop the way our services support the training and development of young people. 

The focus of this new role will be to produce compelling proposals to funders and partners in order to support the delivery of the new three year strategic plan.

The role is split into three key areas:

  • Identifying and tracking opportunities with a strong strategic fit.  Bidding directly for contracts and also managing external bid writers in developing successful bid submissions. 
  • Supporting operational excellence through identifying key partner/stakeholders, which will enhance our offer and improve performance.
  • Take the lead on all bid development for: LEPs, ESFA, DWP, NCS, ESIF funding, Shared Prosperity Fund and any other appropriate sources of funding, including Trusts and Corporate organisations.  Also, developing other funding streams and strategic alliances and partnerships including subcontracting arrangements.  Through capture of local intelligence, designing local partnership strategy and engaging with key stakeholders.

First Rung is looking for a highly organised and passionate Recruitment & Marketing assistant to play a vital role in the recruitment of learners onto all programmes of learning at First Rung.

The role is required to work closely with the Recruitment & Marketing Coordinator as well as other members of the organisation in order to sustain learner recruitment to meet funder’s targets.

First Rung delivers a range of Pre-Apprenticeship, Traineeship, Apprenticeship, Independent School (Alternative Provision) and NEET prevention programme across our two centres in Colindale and Ponders End.

First  Rung has an exciting opportunity for an Employer Engagement Officer to focus the development of supportive work placements, Traineeships and Apprenticeships for young people aged 16 – 24 years old.

This outcome focussed role is ideally suited to a highly motivated and target driven professional ideally with a minimum of 2 years employer facing, business development experience.

This role will be instrumental in supporting the organisation's aim to becoming more employer focussed and will be targeted to develop not only greater work placement outcomes for our learners but also to support in the negotiation of employer partnerships and sponsorships.

First  Rung delivers a range of Study Programme, Pre-Apprenticeship, Traineeship,  Apprenticeship and NEET prevention programme across our three centres;  Colindale and Ponders End.

Through our Apprenticeship, Traineeship and Study Programme provision support young people aged 16-24 develop the skills and attributes that enable them to fulfil their career potential.  

We a looking to recruit a skilled and experience Job Coach at each of our centres to support learners in accessing and sustaining apprenticeship, work placement and employment opportunities. The post holder, at each centre, will manage a caseload of learners and provide them with employability and personal development support, and coordinate placements in the work setting.
