Reviewing your progress

Reviewing your Progress

Once we have agreed your programme you will be asked to attend regular tutorials and reviews. Your progress and performance is closely monitored throughout the programme.

These reviews sometimes involve your Connexions Personal Advisors and may, if necessary involve others such as a probation worker, school contact or link worker.

Should you have any queries regarding your programme then please ask the Centre Supervisor/Learner Support or the Centre Manager.

All learners have access to advice on issues such as substance abuse, sexual health, pregnancy and homelessness.

Any information is treated as confidential. First Rung promotes equal access to learning and assessment

Your Progress file

We will give you a Progress File if you do not have one. This folder should be used as a record of everything you have achieved at school, on training programmes or at work.

You will be able to store certificates of achievement and work or school references in your file along with a copy of your CV and a Personal Profile, which we will help you to complete. You will be able to update your file as you progress through your training programme.

Advice and Guidance

Information Advice and Guidance service is available to all First Rung learners to provide you with the information, advice and support to make choices about your next step into either learning or work.

The service is confidential and maintains equality of opportunity which focuses on your individual needs. We abide by the National IAG Code of Principles.
