Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)

At First Rung we give impartial advice to support all our learners to do their best and achieve their potential.  

We aim to become:- 

FASTER : 

Our response time for referrals are fast.

We use texting to keep in touch.

Quick access to courses with no barriers on first contact.

Regular interview and induction days. 

HIGHER 

We always ask for feedback to deliver higher standards. 

We monitor how we use the feedback. 

We have a high visual profile visiting Connexions, youth groups and shopping centres etc.  

High outcomes with learners on the right courses, high achievement and retention rates. 

STRONGER:  

Strong relationships with Connexions in over 7 London boroughs and Hertfordshire.

Strong communication links with all of the above.

Strong impact : Learners do not have to go searching for IAG, it’s  freely available.                    

Visual case studies are displayed within our centres.
