Duration: Up to 18 Months (including the End Point Assessment)

Apprenticeship Standard: Early Years Educator

When you qualify as a Level 3 Early Years professional you will play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.

Entry Requirements

· GCSEs in English and maths at Grade 4/C or above or able to achieve Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths whilst on the programme

· To be able to gain a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)

What will I study?

The Level 3 Early Years Educator includes:

  • Supporting and promoting children’s early education and development

  • Planning and providing effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepares them for school

  • Making accurate and productive use of assessments

  • Developing effective and informed practices

  • Safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children

  • Working in partnership with a key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals

  • Paediatric First Aid
