Hafiza Ali
Hafiza Ali is an Assistant Headteacher across two primary schools in North London. She earned her BA in Primary Education in 2006 and has spent 19 years teaching across all primary key stages. She recently completed the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership (NPQSL). She is also a reviewer for Challenge Partners.
Passionate about Maths and History, Hafiza leads Project Based Learning, creating a curriculum that blends subject knowledge with essential life skills. She also oversees Maths and National Curriculum assessments and is Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead in one of her schools.
Since Covid, Hafiza has championed the inclusion of black British history throughout the year and curriculum, ensuring representation and cultural experiences are accessible to all pupils.
She lives in North West London with her husband and their cat, Bumbles, and enjoys badminton, swimming and time with family and friends.
Hafiza is the younger sister of Hasina Ali, for whom the Colindale Centre is named. Hasina was an inspirational Lead Maths Workshop Trainer at First Rung for nine years before her passing. Honoured to continue her sister’s legacy, Hafiza is dedicated to supporting First Rung and carrying forward Hasina’s passion for creating learning opportunities that change lives.
