Student Wellbeing
Our careers programme, aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks, is designed not only to provide information about careers and progression pathways, but also to support students in developing the resilience, self-belief, and independence needed to make informed decisions about their future.
We take a holistic approach by integrating careers education with our pastoral and safeguarding provision, ensuring that:
Students feel safe and supported when exploring their future options
Individual needs and circumstances are recognised and reflected in guidance
Barriers to progression, including those related to wellbeing or personal challenges, are addressed
Students are encouraged to build confidence, resilience and a sense of purpose
We recognise that career planning and personal wellbeing are closely linked. Our careers programme supports learners to make informed decisions, overcome challenges and develop independence while preparing for their next steps.
Through this approach, we aim to ensure that every student is not only prepared for their next step, but also equipped with the emotional and personal skills needed to succeed in work and life.

Teamwork
Problem-solving
These skills are developed through classroom learning, employer engagement activities and practical experiences, helping learners become work-ready and confident in their future career choices.
Linking Learning to Real Life
Our team ensures that learners understand the range of opportunities available and the purpose of their learning, not just achieving qualifications. We actively highlight how the knowledge and skills our students gain relate to real-life situations and future career opportunities.
We also provide opportunities for learning beyond the classroom, helping learners to:
Apply their skills in practical contexts
Gain insight into the world of work
Develop a clearer understanding of their future pathways
