High Needs
First Rung’s mission is to enable all its learners achieve their full potential. We welcome applications from young people with special education needs and will support them in developing the skills and self-confidence they need to progress in their career. At the heart of our approach is a commitment to treat each young person as an individual. We will identify each leaners’ learning, social and emotional needs and work with them together a bespoke programme that meets those needs.
Our Flex study Programme offers learners the opportunity to:
Explore their career options
Develop their vocational skills
Improve their English, maths and ICT levels
Develop the skills they need to get a job or a placement
Gain vital work experience
Learners will receive a very high level of individual support including one-to-one provision and small group tutorial sessions. At the end of their programme, they will be supported in progressing to further education, an apprenticeship, employment or another suitable destination.
